2001 Lightning w/ 5lb pulley racing a 2007 Supercharged Roush 427R mustang. I was on a trip in GA and saw this guy in the Roush at the gas station. We bagan to talk and he asked if I wanted to race. He was very confident and was a little suprised when he was beat by a truck!

No, the Cobra has the 4V 4.6L engine.

Darkhelmet, Let's be a little more specific. The 2003-2004 Cobras' have the 4V 4.6L engine. But when I said the Cobra has the 5.4L engine I was referring to the contemporary model. Please note that you are referring to the old Cobra, to clear any confusion.

Fastred05, Listen, you can buy a pulley and chip for these trucks for around $500 which safely adds 70hp and about 100ftlb to the rear wheels. So just about everyone that owns a lightning does this. So your going to run into a problem with the Lightnings' because just about all of them are not stock.

i know what they are capable off i owned a lightning.... i am full bolt on, cam and gear so for one to run with me it better make around 500 to the ground and i pulley chip lightning is only around 380-400
