@theotherguy245689 I used to think mustang's were the shit, I had a 1998 V6, then I noticed how EVERYONE has a Mustang, especially women, and when looking to upgrade to a V8, I noticed how underpowered the GT and Cobra are compared to the Camaros. So I looked into Camaros and found a 1999 Camaro Z28 with the LS1 engine, I am now the envy of every mustang owner before 2011, I drive something different, and I can go fast, not just look it. I only respect Cobras now, especially the Terminators.

@theotherguy245689 the first muscle car was a 1964 GTO. Not ford or dodge. these cars all have their ups and downs. Love the Challanger for cruzing, Camaro for power and mustang for handling.

@Lukeatone thats not really true...you can think of the chrysler 300 of the 50's as the first muscle car..it use to be called the bankers hotrod ...then you have 1957 ..chevy offerd its fuelie with i think 283 hp ..but ford had the super charged 312 with 340 hp and you can look further back to 1932 ,,chevy came out with its big 6,,and ford upped it and came out with the flathead v8 ..or look at 1960 ford had the starliner before chevy's [ss] was out in 61 .and the stang was out in 64

i love the camaro and im glad it won but who leaves there musle car stock? i could get a camaro and add a few things and i have more horses that a gt500. so in the end of the day stock to stock to stock is stupid to test. i understand a test with a stock lambo becouse no one does to much to a supercar but people go nuts with camaros and mustangs.

@390merc65 the sixtys is were the muscle car war started with the 1964 GTO. Yes thier were other earlyer muscle cars but it's didn't really take off until the GTO. then ford answered with the stang so on and so forth....at that point the car have enough power to get the muscle that they needed and could be aforadable to most of the popualtion. Not just for the rich.

@Lukeatone well thats true...most ppl do agree the muscle era started in 64 ...but we really did have muscle cars before that ..thats the way i see it anyway ...at least in 61 you could get factory hotrods from ford chevy ..ponctiac ,,and mopar i think ...well its all good
