@shasha1873 And that's bad because????? Lotus has never built engines as far as I know. They are far too small to build a top notch chassis and also have a successful engine program. The engine you're questioning is a Toyota platform, tuned by Yamaha to Lotus' specifications. And it ain't bad after all that.

@NobleM15fan judging from your name you are a man of good taste who likes fun toys: ) Corvettes have always been imho a poor mans sports car that has never been worth the price of admission. I do like the Z06 most of any to date and think they almost got it right with that model. Still they feel like a cheap piece of crap inside and the new one is a total joke for $100K. Super Snakes are kinda cool but way overpriced.just more American crap that goes straight but doesn't turn well.

@alex14469 They were and the power to weight is all effed up between the two. I would like see the Exige S go up against the new 5.0 Mustang. The power to weight is almost even. It'd be interesting :]

@candycab Thank you! Sadly the M15 never made it into production (if I'd known that I would've picked a different username!). Ford claim their European racing division are doing the Super Snake's handling, so it should be good in the corners. Only time will tell I guess. As the Corvettes - I don't know how much Chevrolet spent sending it to the 'Ring. If they'd only spent a bit more building it properly. The dashboard is held on with what is basically paperclips. Viper ACR is a better car.

@NobleM15fan I think the Viper has been the better car as far back as the GTS Coupe myself. Theres a guy locally who lives near my GF's house who has a 96 GTS with twin Superchargers on it making about 1100hp lol a bit over the top for sure. His plate reads "Nsty Snake" and you can hear the thing from about a mile away when hes on it. One of my toys is a 67 VW Type 1 with an honest 200hp 2074cc in it good for about 5 flat to 60MPH and pulls real hard to about 120MPH in 3rd at 8K RPM :)

@candycab Sounds fun! I love the whole modifying cars culture, buying a cheap rubbish hatchback (or in your friend's case, a supercar) and adding more and more gadgets and power, until it's just about impossible to drive. I once saw a Vauxhall Corsa that the owner had spent over 50 thousand on. You could buy some purpose built sports cars for that, but it was his pride and joy. A Viper with 1100 HP = 1 way ticket to a big, nasty crash. Should have fun on the way though.

@NobleM15fan lol My first thought when he told me how much HP the Viper had was, hmm didn't have enough traction problems to begin with ? That guy cant leave anything alone, everything has to be Billet etc. He has a Harley with a turbo,a Hyabusa with a turbo one of those new Jeep things that are supercharged and resemble a Merc G500 and of course its all loaded with Billet stuff. The Viper is tasteful but the bikes you cant look at in direct sunlight or you may go blind : )

@candycab He obviously doesn't fear death! Either that, or he's of the "we've all gotta go sometime!" philosophy. I'm not a motorbike fan - in a bike crash you're 4X more likely to die than you are in a car crash. My father crashed his motorbike aged 18 - even over 30 years later, he still has the scar and it still causes him pain.

@NobleM15fan Grew up riding dirt then street bikes, went AFM racing for a few years & realized the street isn't the place to ride especially in California where people seem to randomly aim their cars at you :) I have 1989/90 GSX-R Slingshot with a pretty worked engine [150hp] that sits in storage more than anything. Bikes & racing seem to run in my families blood Dad and Uncle raced Hot Rods etc my Cousin raced Drag Bikes Professionally for a lot of years. Still fun to ride occasionally.

The mustang, considering its 5 passengers capability with trunk space and reasonable price, did actually quite well in following this 2 seater race only Lotus. I would like to see Jeremy bring his wife and kids to a sunday ride with this thing that is actually closer to a 4 wheels superbike than a car.... I am actually surprised that the Lotus didn't do better...

@ccpickre No, I didn't miss that, my point was why compare suchi and a hamburger? There was another episode where they raced a Bugatti vs Mclaren F1 and even Jeremy said "We proved that the fastest car in the world is faster than another car" Those races are fun to watch but the conclusion is meaningless.
