I can understand the dude not wanting to punch the shit out of a $100k+ car but he'd beat the shit out of your camaro any day on an open stretch of highway like that. You can see it when he started pulling away a couple times in the video. That bad SOB is wound tighter than shit over your V8. No contest.

@bmxerdude222 what are you talking about. there is no magic or pixy dust involved, gearing, torque and horsepower matter, it is very easily possible to make a corvette with all of the above better than a ferrari, however wind resistance matters, but chances are you are never going to run into that being an issue on a highway like the one in this video.

@Glasfel666 what weight difference? a ferrari enzo weighs just over 3000lbs, it's entirely possible to get a camaro or corvette below that number. as for rebuilds, the LS series engine is one of the best there is, it's award winning. There is even a 1680hp LS1 on the original aluminum engine block. The ZR1 basically has a supercharged LS3 with 650hp, as much as an enzo...It's entirely possible to have a reliable 600-700 LSx with no rebuilds and daily driveable reliablility.

@Glasfel666 in fact there is a perfect example, harlan-engineering(dot)com was an owner of a 1200hp twin turbo ls1 trans am that was daily driven on pump fuel...I can almost guarantee if you build any LSX motor to that kind of power it's going to be 100 times as reliable as any exotic engine with equivalent power would be. What kind of maintenance do you think is involved on an Enzo? I bet an oil change cost as much as an entire engine swap on a corvette.

Nurburgring Nordschleife. Ferrari Enzo: 7:25.7 Chevrolet Camaro SS: 8:20, slower than a Front wheel drive 2.0 Turbo Renault Megane R26R Camaro is only a normal car with oversized engine. Great acceleration, great top speed, bad roadholding. There is no comparison.

@capozzolone The Enzo doesn't handle exactly perfect either. Plus, how much do you not want to have a white and orange Renault with scaffolding in the back, plastic windows, 5 point harnesses, and no sat nav or radio.The Camaro RS may be slower, but it costs the same and you can use it 0_O. As for the SS, it may be 10 grand more but it is 30 grand more car. I'll go a few seconds slower but keep my AC thank you. F plan cars make no sense.
